Well Damn. Learned something new today.

I just remember a guy having a black one locally back around '00 that was supercharged and he couldn't get it any quicker than mid 12s at the track.

Yep, they're about on par with a c5 base coupe at twice the price.

C5Z will destroy the nsx any which way it takes it. So that's a flagship to flagship comparison.

TIL an NSX is superior to a 97 Corvette, and somehow it's relatable to the Dodge Demon, all these years later.

Calm your tits

Off topic ? Eh, still talking cars. If this was a user's thread I'd not, but these are automotive discussion threads, they start conversations and debates like this.
Go cry somewhere else douche.

TBH, the modern horsepower wars very clearly started with the ls1, so it's always relevant.

I'd like to think it started with either a TPI third gen or the LT5 C4.

Lol.

I'd concede the LT5, which is in someways the forebearer of the Jesus' powertrain.

that's a pretty bold statement considering they put up pretty similar times. close enough that it's a drivers race at most tracks.

Put a set of slicks on both of them and let me know how that NSX fares in a drag race.

I'm lazy, but I obviously consider the source.

Although I did see that the newest NSX did the Ring in 7:36, so there's that.

I want to know the price and warranty on this monster.

Question to the WRX and Civic or EVO owner. Say you buy one of those new and you pump them up to 500, 600, or even 800 hp. What happens to your warranty?

Oooohhh.

What's up mild83?

Seems like a brought a JDM car up with less displacement, that might slay your beloved ls1.

So how would you feel if I did a 40 roll with you and walked your face with my little 4 banger POS? My car stayed door to door with a 2015 camaro SS on a 40-110 roll last week.
20 year old car, less than half the displacement, 4 doors

Mild
If you wanna get walked by an Japanese 4 banger econobox with 4 doors. Pm me.

Not sure how feasible a meatup would be anytime soon, but next time I'm in town, if I have my shitbox, I'll see if we can set something up.

However, my basis for this was stock for stock, which the thread in my link above addresses.

Shit. Looks like the site is no longer up, but someone copied the content.

Nurburgring lap times:

7m43s --- Lamborghini Murcielago
7m50s --- BMW E46 M3 CSL
7m56s --- Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale
7m56s --- Porsche 996 Turbo
7m56s --- Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C5
7m56s --- Chevrolet Corvette C6 (since proven to be incorrect)
8m09s --- Ferrari 360 Modena
8m12s --- Porsche 993 Turbo
8m13s --- Dodge Viper SRT-10
8m18s --- Chevrolet Corvette C5
8m24s --- Subaru Impreza WRX STi
8m32s --- Porsche Boxster S
8m38s --- Honda NSX 3.2

http://www.nswcorvettes.com.au/forum...d.php?tid=1394

I actually didn't dig for a Gen 1 (96+) NSX time, just took it from this forum.
