Odd sounds from my 2005 Dodge Neon
This morning I noticed an odd sounding coming from the engine bay when driving. It almost sounded like a jack hammer. I'll try to see if I can get audio from my phone. The neon seems to idle a little rougher than I remember so tonight I replaced the ignition coil, wires & plugs. Didn't seem to help.
The sound is only noticeable when car is driving (not during idle) and under light throttle. Full throttle noise is gone (could be it is just covered up by the louder revs?) Car seems to accelerate normally when getting on the highway. All fluid levels are fine and good. Not sure if anyone has experienced this before with their neon or a different car? New to me, would appreciate any help!
