Default All-New 2020 Hyundai Palisade

This kind of makes sense due to the new Santa Fe unveiling and trim level revealed

Mysterious Hyundai Big-Size SUV Spied

At first, specially looking at the front under camouflage, you can think this is another set of spy pictures of the next-generation Hyundai Santa Fe, but if you take a look to the side picture, this opinion will change.

The new Santa Fe will debut on February 2018 in South Korea and aparently looks like Hyundai is also already working on a big brother, the Grand Santa Fe / Max Cruz.
As we told you before, the design of the new Santa Fe will be revolutionary, specially on the front end although there are some subtle differences between it and its predecessor. For example, the side mirrors are now positioned on the doors instead of at the base of the A-pillars.
The Santa Fe headlights also adopt a split design where the daytime running lights sit at the top near the leading edge of the hood and the main projectors form a vertical stack below. This is the new front-end look and has already appeared on the Kona subcompact.
But, on this prototype we can also find a different C pillar, as you can see on the picture below, and a larger rear end that can confirm this is a different than the normal Santa Fe.

Next-Gen Hyundai Veracruz Spied Inside

A few weeks ago, we showed up pictures of a big-sized SUV spotted in the wild on South Korea. Now we have more information that confirms is the next-gen Hyundai Veracruz/Maxcruz as well as interior pictures that show this model will have a different interior design.
The new Santa Fe is set to debut on February 21 in South Korea and aparently looks like Hyundai is also already working on a big brother, the Grand Santa Fe / Max Cruz.
Despite until now both models were similar despite the longer wheelbase and rear-end design, for the new generation this will not continue with the bigger brother having a different side & rear design and also a improved interior that takes some elements from Genesis models as we can see on the picture below.
The bigger Santa Fe will adopt the same split design where the daytime running lights sit at the top near the leading edge of the hood and the main projectors form a vertical stack below. This is the new front-end look and has already appeared on the Kona subcompact.
But, on this prototype we can also find a different C pillar, as you can see on the picture below, and a larger rear end that can confirm this is a different than the normal Santa Fe.

Hyundai Full Size SUV Spied in Sweden

Hyundai recently unveiled the fourth generation of its Santa Fe SUV but also gave us some additional information, like we can expected a new 8 seater vehicle, making a comeback to a Hyundai Full Size SUV completing their SUV line up models.

As we told you guys before, Hyundai were working on a separated big-sized SUV, a real Veracruz sucessor, larger than the all-new Santa Fe and with a big differences in exterior and interior design.
Despite until now both models were similar despite the longer wheelbase and rear-end design, for the new generation this will not continue with the bigger brother having a different side & rear design and also a improved interior that takes some elements from Genesis models as we can see on the picture below.

We showed up some bad wuality pictures and today and thanks to the guys at CarPix, we can show you new good quality pictures showing the new lines of the future Maxcruz (the name is not yet confirmed).

A full size SUV came to North America in the year 2007 and it was named Veracruz, initially was based on the Santa Fe model with the option of 7 seats. The Veracruz was later discontinued in 2011 with the exception of South Korea but a year later was completely discontinued and replaced by the 2013 Santa Fe 7 seater (also called Maxcruz).

If you were following our news, you might be aware of this SUV model that was caught in some spy shots, we also even caught multiple pictures of this model interior (picture below). Now is confirmed that will be coming to North America, Europe is not yet confirmed, and probably uses the new diesel engine announced for the US-market Santa Fe.
We don’t know what it’ll be call just yet, but following Hyundai’s pattern of the SUV names like Veracruz from the city in Mexico and Santa Fe from the city in the state of New Mexico and Tucson from the city in the state of Arizona, there might be a chance we’ll see another name to follow the western theme.
The market for SUV still out there and Hyundai has finally decided to bring an 8 seater SUV but with a luxury and futuristic interior. Would you be in the market for one?

Hyundai Large SUV Could Be Called “Palisade”

Kia Telluride's brother should be revealed early next year.

It’s not a secret that Hyundai has a new large SUV in the works. The full-size machine will likely be based on the same platform that will also underpin the upcoming production version of the Kia Telluride and a new report indicates the eight-seat vehicle could receive the "Palisade" moniker.

The information comes from AutoGuide, which discovered Hyundai trademarked the name with the United States Patent and Trademark Office late last month. The patent fillings show it will be used for “automobiles and structural parts thereof,” so it’s probably destined for a new model. “Palisade” means a large protective wall, which could be a good fit for a massive three-row SUV.

Despite the new platform, the large sport utility vehicle will share most of its design solutions with the current Santa Fe, as our first spy photos have already revealed, including the thin headlights, large square-ish driving lamps, and Hyundai’s large signature grille. The overall profile is also quite identical, except for the expanded backside.

Interestingly, despite its size, the new model should still be front-wheel drive with optional all-wheel drive, unlike its projected rivals Chevrolet Suburban and Ford Expedition, which are both powered by the rear wheels as standard. The South Korean company is rumored to fit its 3.3-liter V6 with 290 horsepower (216 kilowatts) under the hood, which could be joined by a way more powerful hybrid setup with a 3.5-liter V6 and a total output of 400 hp (298 kW) at some point. Of course, nothing is confirmed at the moment.

Preliminary details suggest we’ll see the Hyundai Palisade in the first months of next year, so a potential Detroit debut seems likely. Sales should start by the end of 2019 or early 2020 and at this point it’s not clear whether Hyundai will also offer the model outside the United States.

2020 Hyundai Palisade Full-Size SUV To Be Offered As An 8-Seat Hybrid

Hot on the heels of learning that Hyundai’s full-size SUV could be dubbed Palisade, our spy photographers have snapped a camouflaged prototype during testing.

Whatever it ends up being called, the full-size Hyundai SUV will use the same platform as the upcoming Kia Telluride. Consequently, it should be sold with front-wheel drive as standard and be offered with all-wheel drive as an option.
The vast majority of variants are bound to use a V6 engine but a number of electrified offerings are inevitable. After all, Hyundai intends on launching 15 electrified models by 2020, including hybrids, plug-in hybrids, battery-electric, and fuel-cell vehicles. The Kia Telluride should be offered with largely the same powertrain options as the Hyundai.
As the latest-generation Hyundai Santa Fe is no longer sold with seven-seats, the full-size SUV will essentially act as a replacement to that model. However, it will take things one step further and provide seating for eight occupants.

Santa Fe looks but on a bigger scale
From a styling perspective, influence will be taken from the new Santa Fe. Consequently, the full-size SUV will feature a bold front fascia with slim LED daytime running lights. At the rear, we will see vertical taillights and a more upright window and tailgate than the Santa Fe, allowing for ample room in the third-row.
Hyundai has discussed its impending full-size SUV in the past and according to the brand’s president and chief executive Wonhee Lee, it will hit the market in mid-2019. Naturally, a U.S. launch is a given and an arrival in Europe at a later date is likely.
Another all-new SUV from Hyundai is also in the works, namely an A-segment SUV which will be even smaller than the Kona. It too will have styling reminiscent of the Santa Fe and Kona and could also get some form of hybridization.

Default Hyundai HDC-2

Grandmaster Flash: Hyundai HDC-2 Concept Shows The Way Forward In Busan

The Busan Motor Show opened today in South Korea’s second-largest city. And the country’s largest automaker was on hand not only with its existing range of vehicles, but with a brand-new concept that previews the company’s new design language.

Called the HDC-2 Grandmaster, the SUV concept follows the HDC-1 sedan concept – dubbed “Le Fil Rouge” – that Hyundai revealed at the Geneva Motor Show just a few months ago. And like Le Fil Rouge, the Grandmaster adopts the brand’s new “Hyundai Look” styling direction.
Unfortunately Hyundai has only released two photos of the show truck, and revealed precious little in the way of details. But from what we can see, the concept looks rather imposing, with a large form capped by a big grille. The wheels look pretty big too, and the overall design looks suitably conceptual – though not so far-fetched that it couldn’t be adapted for production.
“Today we showcased the HDC-2 concept vehicle as a blueprint for our evolved design strategy,” said Hyundai design chief SangYup Lee. “Making a big step forward in terms of design with the Hyundai Look strategy, we will move towards becoming a brand that customers can really relate to emotionally. Moving on from being a brand that provides a great value, we will aspire to also become a brand that is widely beloved by our customers.”
The last time Hyundai produced an SUV looking this large was with the Veracruz, a mid-size crossover produced from 2006 to 2012. Its place has since been taken by the long-wheelbase version of the Santa Fe that was previously positioned underneath it, but we wouldn’t discount the possibility of the Korean automaker introducing a new flagship crossover over and above its current lineup. But it’d have to steer clear of Genesis territory, now that the sub-brand has been spun off into its own.
Together with the Grandmaster concept, Hyundai also indicated the expansion of its N performance brand. Though it didn’t reveal many specific details, it did suggest that there’ll be more N models coming down the pipeline, as well as sporty-looking N Line trims and N Option accessories offered for the company’s entire lineup.

Hyundai Grandmaster concept could preview new flagship full-sized SUV

Eight-seat SUV twinned with Kia Telluride and perhaps called Palisade

Hyundai just debuted the HDC-2 Grandmaster SUV concept at the Busan Motor Show, a follow-up to the Le Fil Rouge concept shown at the Geneva Motor Show this year. The Grandmaster provides a second take on the "Sensuous Sportiness" design language embodied by the Le Fil Rouge, and previews the direction we'll see Hyundai's products take. Industry observers expect the Grandmaster to become an eight-seater SUV at the top of the carmaker's range, perhaps to be called Palisade.
The Grandmaster, whose name refers to a champion chess player, represents the nexus of a host of Hyundai initiatives. There's the name itself, a metaphorical reference to the brand's car and SUV overhaul. In a press release, the company wrote, "The concept vehicle is named to indicate that just as the sum of all chess pieces completes the game of chess, all forthcoming Hyundai vehicles will come to form a harmonious vehicle line-up demonstrating the Hyundai Look while each maintains distinctive character and role." On top of that, Hyundai design director Luc Donckerwolke recently called the Le Fil Rouge concept the "Queen," and said that the following concept would be the "Bishop."
There's the new design direction, which takes over from Fluidic Sculpture, which Hyundai hopes will create a more emotional bond with buyers. Sensuous Sportiness combines "proportion, architecture, styling, and technology," and design chief SangYup Lee wants it to move the carmaker "from being a brand that provides a great value, we will aspire to also become a brand that is widely beloved by our customers."
There's the fact that Hyundai has been revamping its SUV game for the U.S. by introducing the Kona, changing the name of the Santa Fe Sport to the Santa Fe, and rolling out the long-wheelbase seven-seater Santa Fe XL. Dividends might have started paying out last month, with the carmaker posting its first year-on-year monthly sales gain of 2018 thanks to the Kona. A production Grandmaster — which seems an eventuality based on winter spy shots of an unknown Hyundai earlier this year — would be a three-row, eight-seater replacing the Santa Fe XL and re-establishing Hyundai in the full-size segment.
The predicted Palisade name comes from a Hyundai trademark application filed earlier this year. As a sibling to the Kia Telluride, or perhaps riding on a revised Genesis G90/Kia K900 architecture, the Grandmaster/Palisade could end up on dealer lots as soon as next year, as a 2020 model.

Hyundai Palisade looks like a cross between Santa Fe, Grandmaster concept

Full-size crossover shows more of its face

We're getting closer and closer to seeing some full-size, three-row crossover SUVs from Hyundai and Kia. The most recent previous spy shots showed the Kia Telluride, but we now have photos revealing more of the Hyundai version, which reports say will be known as the Hyundai Palisade. It appears to take design cues from both the new Santa Fe and the recently revealed Grandmaster concept.

The front, which is more visible than in previous photos, is very closely related to the Santa Fe and the even smaller Kona. It has the same split headlight setup, and the lower lights are extremely large. The fascia has elements of the corporate "Cascade" grille, and it has an upper slot like on the Kona. That slot is better integrated, though. It actually looks a bit like the grille on the Subaru Ascent.

There isn't as much new about the sides and tail compared with previous images. But the profile is unquestionably inspired by the Grandmaster concept. The main cue shared between the two is the chrome strip that starts at the base of the A-pillar, goes up over the top of the doors' windows, and drops down along the C-pillar.

We expect this big Hyundai SUV to go on sale either next year or in 2020. The Kia Telluride will likely go on sale around then, too, and both SUVs will probably share engines and platforms.

2020 Hyundai Palisade: Everything We Know About The 3-Row, 8-Seat Large Crossover

The world of automotive news is an precarious place for reveals that gather little fanfare; one reveal that almost slipped under the radar recently was Hyundai’s HDC-2 Grandmaster SUV concept, which debuted at South Korea’s Busan Motor Show.

So what was the premise behind it? Essentially the HDC-2 previews Hyundai’s styling direction of the brand’s upcoming Palisade (name to be confirmed) full-size, 8-Seat SUV. However while concepts are one thing, the production version is what we’re most interested in.
The Palisade will be placed at the top of Hyundai’s growing SUV-range that already includes the Kona, Tucson and Santa Fe. It will be the brand’s biggest crossover after it dropped the Veraacruz back in 20133.
Muscular looks

Even when gandering at Hyundai’s heavily-clad test mules – immediate first impressions are rather telling; cue chiselled sheet metal, imposing looks and staunch proportions. The crossover carries a fair chunk of HDC-2 concept in its glasshouse, especially with that upper chrome window-line cascading downwards into the C-pillar.
Hyundai HDC2 Concept
Frontal styling is arguably reminiscent of the latest Santa Fe, with an upright, yet elegant grille and slim upper LED lighting with separate lower housings. Sculptured fenders are very similar to that of the show car and Santa Fe too. Rear styling is SUV-conventional, with large rear glass sections and an upright tailgate.

Spacious and smart inside
There is seating for eight passengers, with clever rear-seat access via a simple push-button to slide the 2nd row out of the way. Interior amenities will be vast with HUD (head-up display), digital instrument cluster, an intuitive infotainment system incorporating Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Qi wireless charging pad, Wi-Fi connectivity, heated & ventilated seating and Infinity audio.
Hyundai Smart Sense will provide a suite of driver aids like forward collision-avoidance assist, 360-degree camera, lane keeping aid, pedestrian detection, safe exit assist, blind spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control with stop & go.

Under the hood
Platform-sharing with Kia’s Telluride full-size SUV will enable access to a potent 3.3-litre twin-turbo V-6, producing 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. Unlike some rivals, power will be sent to the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic as standard, whilst all-wheel drive will be optional.
Hyundai has ambitions to offer 15 electrified variants by 2020, which could see the Palisade being paired with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Alternatively, diesel power may also be available in the form of a 2.2-litre four-cylinder with 190 horsepower and 322 pound-feet of torque – but only for markets outside of North America.

Markets, release date and rivals
North America will likely be one of the first regions to receive the Palisade, with sales in Europe and Australasia also a possibility later down the road. Expect an official reveal later this year, or early 2019 at the Detroit Motor Show.

Large SUV and crossover competitors include Volkswagen’s Atlas, Ford Explorer, Chevrolet Traverse, Dodge Durango, Honda Pilot, Subaru Ascent and, naturally, its Kia platform-twin, the upcoming Telluride.
What do you think of Hyundai’s largest SUV? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Hyundai Palisade three-row crossover interior spied for the first time

It's based on the Grandmaster concept

Most other mainstream automakers have full-size three-row crossovers, but not the two Korean automakers. That's about to change. The Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade have both been previewed in concept form, but are making their way into the public eye. These new spy photos give us a good look at the new Hyundai's interior.

It looks like a more premium environment than the one in the recently introduced 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. Specifically, note the separate bands of silver buttons and other bits of alloy trim. These are different pieces than what you'll find in other Hyundai models, and are almost reminiscent of the original Hyundai Genesis cabin. However, it does seem to share the new Santa Fe's floating center screen and steering wheel. It's difficult to see if the digital instrument cluster carries over, too.

The rear seats have been folded completely flat and we can see what appears to be power-folding controls. There also seem to be bins on each side of the third row, but they could also just be missing cupholder units. That seems likely since cupholder count is a pretty key three-row family crossover element (the Subaru Ascent has 19).

The exterior is upright and boxy, though it's difficult to see through the camouflage if some of the Santa Fe's curves carried over. Even through the covering, the grille and headlights are definitely familiar. Expect some other elements from the Hyundai Grandmaster concept to make it to production, too.

Hyundai Palisade Big SUV Imagined

Hyundai already launched the fourth generation of its Santa Fe SUV around the world, and now it’s time to put our attention on Hyundai Palisade, Santa Fe’s grandpa, a SUV 8-seater capable vehicle, making a comeback to a Hyundai Full Size SUV and completing their SUV line up.

As we told you guys before, Hyundai were working on a separated big-sized SUV, a real Veracruz sucessor, larger than the all-new Santa Fe and with a big differences in exterior and interior design, and today thanks to Kksstudio we can have an idea of how this new SUV will look.
Despite until now both models were similar despite the longer wheelbase and rear-end design, for the new generation this will not continue with the bigger brother having a different side & rear design and also a improved interior that takes some elements from Genesis models as we can see on the picture below.

The bigger SUV will adopt the same split design where the daytime running lights sit at the top near the leading edge of the hood and the main projectors form a vertical stack below. This is the new front-end look and has already appeared on the Kona subcompact.
But, on this prototype we can also find a different C pillar, as you can see on the picture below, and a larger rear end that can confirm this is a different than the normal Santa Fe.

From the powertrain side, a 2.2 R-Engine diesel will follow 6-cylinder engine for the US-market as well as a Hybrid version like with the Santa Fe.

Hyundai Palisade Spied in South Korea

Hyundai continues testing in South Korea its future big size SUV, 8 seater vehicle, the Palisade that will complete their SUV line up models from the top.

We showed up some bad wuality pictures and a few days ago and thanks to the guys at CarPix, we showed you new good quality pictures showing the new lines of the future Maxcruz (the name is not yet confirmed) and now we received new pictures from South Korea.
Not sure if the test drive finished well
If you were following our news, you might be aware of this SUV model that was caught in some spy shots, we also even caught multiple pictures of this model interior (picture below).

Hyundai Palisade Rendered: When The Santa Fe Is Not Big Enough

The Kia Telluride's cousin will seat seven or eight in comfort.

In an increasingly global and uniform market, where many cars are sold all over the world with minimal differences, people's tastes can't be changed. Anyone who has ever visited the United States will have seen their taste for huge SUVs with seven or eight seats - models that will never roll on European asphalt. Think Ford Explorer, VW Atlas, and the fabulously named Dodge Durango.

From 2019, though, a new player will enter the fray in the shape of South Korean manufacturer Hyundai. Right now, the brand is working on a massive SUV thought to be called the Palisade, although the name is still provisional.
Our rendering shows how the finished car might look, drawing clues from the spy images taken of test mules and on the HDC-2 design study - a concept car shown last June that was thought to hint at the production model's styling.

It is no coincidence that our design inherits the HDC-2's the diamond-shaped face, the thin headlights (no longer integrated in the grille) and the rear window pillar, a solution inspired by the Mercedes GLE that helps create a "wraparound" rear window, which looks as though the rear glass embraces both the rear face of the tailgate and its sides.

Our image also shows the new fog light position inspired by the smaller Santa Fe, which is available on European shores.

But the Santa Fe isn't the only car the Palisade may turn to for inspiration; the underpinnings are highly likely to come from Hyundai's sister firm Kia.

Both the Palisade and its cousin, the Kia Telluride, are expected to sit on the same mechanical basis, with front- or all-wheel drive and the same engine. That unit is likely to be a de-tuned version of the 3.3-litre V6 gasoline engine found under the long nose of the Kia Stinger. That engine will probably send its power to the wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Inside, the car is expected to come with all the usual mod-cons, including the latest driving assistance systems and internet connection, as well as goodies such as heated and ventilated seats.

Hyundai Palisade Caught Undisguised, Intentionally Blurred?

Hyundai already launched the fourth generation of its Santa Fe SUV around the world, and now it’s time to put our attention on Hyundai Palisade, who were caught in South Korea during a commercial photoshoot, but the pictures were leaked in a very weird and suspiciously blurred finish, and does not allow us to see every detail.

As we told you guys before, South Korean carmaker were working on a separated big-sized SUV, the Hyundai Palisade, a real Veracruz sucessor, larger than the all-new Santa Fe and with a big differences in exterior and interior design, and despite the blurred pictures, is it clear that is very similar to the Grandmaster Concept.

From the powertrain side, a 2.2 R-Engine diesel will follow 6-cylinder engine for the US-market as well as a Hybrid version like with the Santa Fe.

This is the Most Accurate Ever Render of Hyundai Palisade

Today we continue showing you renders of future models, but at this time we have got the most accurate render of the All-New Hyundai Palisade big SUV, that according to reports, will debut at LA Auto Show this November.
Thanks to the guys at Brenthon (for those who don’t know, they’re an accesory company that I think could receive some documents of future cars before the launch, that could explains why always their renders are the same as the final cars – just take a look to the example of the Genesis G70 – or Hyundai Santa Fe).

As we told you guys before, South Korean carmaker were working on a separated big-sized SUV, the Hyundai Palisade, a real Veracruz sucessor, larger than the all-new Santa Fe and with a big differences in exterior and interior design, and despite this is a render, if we take a look to it and then see the blurred pictures we have published yesterday (below), is it clear that is very accurate to the final model.

Key Details of Hyundai Palisade Emerged After Certification

Today we continue showing up new information about the All-New Hyundai Palisade big SUV, after surpassed Korea Energy Homologation, showed a 3.8 GDi engine with Front Wheel Drive and up to 20-inch Alloy wheels, and despite this configuration the fuel economy was set at 9,3 km/l (almost 22 mpg) which is not a bad number.

Hyundai officially names 3-row SUV the Palisade, to be revealed at LA Auto Show

It will seat up to eight passengers

The reports we've been hearing about Hyundai's new three-row SUV are right, it's going to be called the Palisade and be revealed at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show. Coming for model year 2020, it'll be Hyundai's new flagship SUV with eight-passenger capability. For those counting, that's one more than the Santa Fe XL it will be replacing.

Hyundai released one teaser image for us to check out, but it doesn't tell us much of anything about the big SUV. We've been seeing plenty of spy shots of the truck over the past few months that do give us an idea of what to expect, though. Based on the Grandmaster Concept, the three-row SUV looks like it has a luxurious interior. Spy shots show split headlight modules and a large, cascading grille too. It's going to be big.

Hyundai tends to name its vehicles after exotic locations, and this one is no different. Palisade refers to the Pacific Palisades, an affluent neighborhood on the coast of Southern California. You might be more likely to see Bentleys and Range Rovers roaming the streets in this area, but Hyundai is adopting it nonetheless. We'll be able to say more come LA Auto Show time, but for now, Hyundai says the Palisade will be available in the summer of 2019 for the U.S. market.

When the Palisade does arrive, it will be facing a crowded market of others all elbowing for the same piece of pie. Coming out with a large SUV never seems like a bad idea these days with how the market always receives them, but we'll see how well Hyundai can teach everybody to look for the Palisade nameplate instead of the Santa Fe XL now.

2020 Hyundai Palisade SUV Makes Untimely Debut With Official Photo

We are only weeks away from the world debut of Hyundai’s flagship SUV, the three-row Palisade, at the LA Auto Show.

Thankfully, we don’t have to wait that long to get a first look at the eight-seat model. That’s because the first official photo of the Hyundai Palisade has already been leaked by Russian website Auto Review in what looks like a classic case of breaking the news embargo.
For those of you who are regular Carscoops readers, the first photo of the 2020 Palisade won’t come as a surprise. We’ve shown you our interpretation of the big SUV in July and we have to say our artist’s vision accurately previewed the original (see below).

Clearly inspired by the HDC-2 Grandmaster Concept, the 2020 Hyundai Palisade also features styling cues from current models, mostly the latest Santa Fe. That’s most obvious at the front end, where it adopts similar headlights as the smaller SUV and a prominent grille that’s reminiscent of the same model.
The side profile bears a certain resemblance to the Santa Fe as well, but everything that’s behind the C-pillars looks quite different. For now, this is the only photo we’ve got, but we should expect more to follow in the coming days.

With the Palisade, Hyundai targets growing families thanks to a roomy interior with seating for up to eight people and the “commodious” cargo space. The Korean automaker said the crossover will feature premium materials, intuitive technologies, and intelligent safety features.
Not much else is known about the flagship, although it’s expected to share a platform with the 2020 Kia Telluride that will debut in at the Detroit Auto Show early next year. The big Kia will be powered by a V6 engine, likely the 3.3-liter V6 that produces 290 hp (294 PS) and 252 lb-ft (341 Nm) of torque in the Sorento.
Expect the 2020 Hyundai Palisade to go on sale next summer in the United States.

2020 Hyundai Palisade Caught Undisguised During Filming

After we already seen the first leaked pictures of the 2020 Hyundai Palisade set to be global premiered at Los Angeles Auto Show next week, today we have a new set of spy pictures that were taken while filming a commercial.

The new SUV name references a series of coastal cliffs and might naturally be associated by many with the Pacific Palisades, an affluent and beautiful neighborhood in Southern California.
The future SUV will convey a bold exterior that commands attention and has strong inherent imagery of safety and security, especially important with parents with growing families and active lifestyles.
At this time, up to 3 pictures were taken (nothing about the rear design yet), and we can see a different front grille compared to what we already seen on the first leaked picture and more close to what we have seen on the Grandmaster Concept.

A “Walrus” inspired LED daytime running lights and a big chromed grille take the attention from the strong front view. Looking closer, the shape of the side mirror and the wheel design are the same as we have seen on the spy shots.
Palisade styling will offer dignity with style in an understated theme that demonstrates clear differentiation worthy of a flagship SUV. Global media will see the Palisade for the first time at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 28. The Palisade will begin U.S. market availability in the summer of 2019.

Engine line-up is not confirmed yet but after Palisade surpassed Korea Energy Homologation, it showed a 3.8 GDi engine with Front Wheel Drive and up to 20-inch Alloy wheels, and despite this configuration the fuel economy was set at 9,3 km/l (almost 22 mpg) which is not a bad number. A Diesel variant it is not ruled out.
What do you think about Hyundai’s big SUV?

Exclusive: Hyundai Palisade Interior Leaked

After we already seen the exterior of the 2020 Hyundai Palisade that is set to be global premiered at Los Angeles Auto Show next week, today we have an exclusive set of spy pictures, courtesy of our friend SHM Studio including the interior which is very detailed in what it looks like to be a workshop manual that were leaked.

The future SUV will convey a bold exterior that commands attention and has strong inherent imagery of safety and security, especially important with parents with growing families and active lifestyles, with a well finished interior as we can see for the first time.

At this time, we have a bunch of pictures detailing the new infotainment system, shift selector that is like the one on the Kona EV (it just have buttons as a way to select) there’s not a gear knob, a partial digital Cluster, like the same as used on the Santa Fe, and a dashboard design that I think were inspired by Mercedes models, trying to make like a big screen together with the IT system and cluster.

Detail of Gear Selector and Drive Mode Selector including Snow Mode

As you can see on the picttre above, Hyundai will offer a 4 button gear selector as well as the Drive Terrain selector, including a few options like “Eco, “Sport”, or the new “Snow Mode”.

The infotaiment system will have a new widescreen between 10″ inch to 12″ inch, with a new design of the 3 areas, just the same as we have just seen on the Kia Soul teasers.

At this time, we have a clear view of the side & rear look thanks to the picture above, that show the SUV profile and a tailight that bites a part of the side design as well as chassis measures (picture below).

We also have more pics of the detailed exterior, including the front grille, and the Around View Monitor that has 4 cameras in total. Also on the screenshoots we can see the 2.2 TCI engine, which is the 2.2 CRDi diesel engine with 200 hp.

Hyundai Teases Palisade Again Before LA Debut

Hyundai already announced the name of its new 2020 flagship SUV: to be called Palisade. The new SUV name references a series of coastal cliffs and might naturally be associated by many with the Pacific Palisades, an affluent and beautiful neighborhood in Southern California and now we have probably the latest teaser before 28th debut.

The future SUV will convey a bold exterior that commands attention and has strong inherent imagery of safety and security, especially important with parents with growing families and active lifestyles.

Hyundai Palisade Interior Leaked on a Service Manual

Pacific Palisades is home to a collection of mid-century modern masterpiece homes by architects such as Cliff May, Richard Netra, Charles and Ray Eames, and Eero Saarinen. The region boasts of cool sea breezes, easy access to the beach, and spectacular sunsets. It also offers outdoor access of various kinds via three large parks and hiking and biking paths.

2020 Hyundai Palisade Caught Undisguised From Every Angle

2020 Hyundai Palisade Spied Undisguised (1)
After we already seen the first leaked pictures of the 2020 Hyundai Palisade, also of the interior, today we want to share the latest spy pictures of Hyundai’s SUV, which is set to be global premiered at Los Angeles Auto Show tomorrow, completely undisguised.

The new SUV name references a series of coastal cliffs and might naturally be associated by many with the Pacific Palisades, an affluent and beautiful neighborhood in Southern California.

Codenamed as “FN”, the future SUV will convey a bold exterior that commands attention and has strong inherent imagery of safety and security, especially important with parents with growing families and active lifestyles.

At this time, up to 4 pictures were taken (including the rear design from two angles), and we can see a different front grille compared to what we already seen on the first leaked picture and more close to what we have seen on the Grandmaster Concept.

A “Walrus” inspired LED daytime running lights and a big chromed grille take the attention from the strong front view and are also used along rear talights.

This Palisade variant looks like a high end one, with a lot of chromed details, bigger chromed wheels, so maybe it is on its way to the LA Auto Show and didn’t know the are to confirm that point, but the car was without a registration plate.

For the US-market, Hyundai will have a 3.5-liter Lambda 3 engine with a final output to be confirmed. A 2.2 R-Engine diesel is also probably to be showcased for the US-market, let’s see.

What do you think about Hyundai’s big SUV?

Hyundai Palisade Teased One Last Time Ahead Of Tomorrow’s Unveiling

Hyundai is gearing up to introduce the all-new Palisade on November 28th, but that hasn’t stopped the company from releasing a revealing new teaser image.

As part of the company’s “Always Remarkable” launch campaign for the Palisade, Hyundai has enlisted South Korean boy band BTS to serve as global brand ambassadors for the flagship crossover. That’s certainly an odd choice for an American-focused model, but the image does give us a better look at the upcoming crossover which will be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show tomorrow afternoon.
As you can see in the image, the Palisade features a prominent grille which resides above a faux silver skid plate and plastic body cladding. While members of BTS largely hide the front of the crossover, the model appears slightly different than the purportedly leaked image that surfaced earlier this month.

In that image, the Palisade had a chrome grille surround and five horizontal bars. The official image, on the other hand, shows a mesh grille which is similar to the one used on the Santa Fe. It’s possible the differences could be chalked up to different trim levels, but we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out.
Regardless, the Palisade follows in the footsteps of the HDC-2 Grandmaster concept but adopts more conservative bodywork. The crossover also has pronounced wheel arches and a number of metallic accents.
Hyundai has been tight-lipped on specifics, but the automaker has already confirmed the Palisade will have “commodious cargo space” as well as seating for up to eight people. The company has also said drivers can expect premium materials, intuitive technologies and intelligent safety features.
Full details will be released tomorrow, but Hyundai has already announced the Palisade will go on sale in the United States next summer.

2020 Hyundai Palisade: This Is It, Completely Undisguised!

We’re only hours away from Hyundai unveiling its new flagship three-row SUV, the Palisade, at this year’s LA Auto Show.

The automaker last teased us with the Palisade yesterday, enlisting the aid of South Korean boy band BTS, which also operate as brand ambassadors for the new model. Still, the Palisade is expected to succeed in North America, where it will go on sale next summer.
Looking somewhat understated
Even though this is a large SUV, capable of seating a total of eight people, it’s not quite as imposing as some may have expected. Still, the massive front grille, “squinty” headlight design and somewhat boxy exterior give it a sufficiently strong road presence.
We could also go as far as to say that the rear end design give it a predominantly ‘American’ feel, as does the view from a rear 3/4 angle. No surprise, since even its name (Palisade) is meant to reference an affluent coastal neighborhood in Los Angeles, which is actually called Pacific Palisades.
Images sourced from both AutoDaily as well as Auto Post via Naver, also depict the SUV’s interior, which from certain angles looks almost Mercedes-like, except that it doesn’t actually feature a dual display setup, despite the unified shape of the gauge cluster and infotainment screen surround.
*Developing story!
