Default Post Workout Drink?

I've been using ON Platinum Hydro Builder for the past 6 weeks or so. Typically, I use a scoop of that, an additional scoop of ON Whey, add a frozen banana or strawberries and call it a day. I like the results, have gained some noticeable strength in my core lifts, but I'd like to get away from the creatine.

Any other good suggestions? My primary focus is to maintain/build strength, while losing some extra weight.

I'm curious as to why you are wanting to get away from creatine?

I just don't see the need for my goals. I actually didn't even know that what I'm using had it until I ordered it. I'm not trying to powerlift or set PRs at this time, just lose some weight and tighten up.

I do like the benefits of creatine, though. It's been 10+ years since I've used it.

creatine = power lifting.

just use the regular whey and fruit with it if the creatine freaks you out.

LOL.

Exaggeration, how does it work? I thought that I clarified that in my post. I'm really just looking for what other people are using. I used to drink MRPs with milk afterwards, but they've gotten pretty pricey in the past few years.

I really don't understand all the creatine misconceptions.

Seriously just google the word and read the wiki as a starter.

It's naturally occurring in your body. Taking it as a supplement adds more.

Right.

I don't have any misconceptions about it. I would just prefer not to take it, that's why I was aksing around what others use.

There are potential harmful side effects if, like most anything, used improperly. You'd have to abuse it rather harshly tho.

There a preferred form in taking it? Pill, powder, liquid? Are most brands created fairly equally?

How does one know so much about its side effects and ability to harm you yet not know how to take it?

Ever the antagonist.

To answer your question, I read. As to the second part, I'm asking how people prefer to take it.

You may return to folding napkins now.

An old adage comes to mind...something about 'battle of wits' and 'unarmed opponent'

Please list the any negative (read harmful) side effect of creatine.

If you do find some you may consider removing red meat from your diet as it contains exgenous creatine and will raise your natural creatine levels.

can't be too careful.

"Potential" harmful side effects. Again, with misuse, personal body condition, etc.

Mild side: stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, dehydration
More serious side: kidney, liver, heart function, stroke, skin pigmentation, body stop producing its own

What I did not know is its use in treatment of disorders such as Alzheimer, depression, bipolar. Also used on muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's and ALS patients.

Haha, no, I guess I can see how you might take it as that way.

I just don't see the point of taking it. Although the more I look around, for the macros and cost per serving, I might just stick with what I'm using.
