Personally, I think what we are seeing so far today is a "dead cat bounce". I wouldn't be surprised if we see some more dips, but I think we may be getting close to the bottom.

You never know whether you can believe the "experts" or not. They probably feel some duty to prevent panic. The only thing I feel confident about is that crude will keep going down, despite today's gain.

Definitely not what my finance teacher was thinking. He was showing trends in the past 40 years and if it follows the trend line, we still have a ways yet to go.

My wife let me invest only $1k into ACI first week of August. I showed her what the numbers were if she would have let me do the $10k......she cried a little.

I read ACI did a private debt trade deal. BCEI is a strong energy company that was due to rebound and I was just waiting. JAGX is not that old and their IPO was recent and they plummeted and it was a rebound. I randomly chose FORD on Fidelity research section.

ACI and BCEI are more long term. JAGX and FORD were dumped early after a good rebound. And they have tanked again since.

Anyone going to buy VW on the chance that it rebounds?

IMO, it's way to early to buy into them. They're worth 126 billion, we're fining them up to 18 billion plus whatever the class action suit/settlement costs them. We're about 5% of their worldwide diesel car sales. Fines from other countries may not be as high, but it still may be enough to bankrupt them. It's still too soon to say.

The whole story to me is bullshit. They are not killing anybody like GM was but somehow VW is going to have a larger class action lawsuit?

The difference here is that GM's was a mistake that they tried to cover up. Mistakes happen, they got hit hard on trying to hide their knowledge of it.

VW willfully violated laws, likely worldwide and on a large scale.

It's one thing to mishandle a mistake, it's another to ignore laws entirely.

Tesla stock below 220. Even if market analyst were right in their downgrade I think they had it listed at 280.

Short term it's not great, but long term think about the Model III and Model Y to be announced in Feb. Those are going to be great boosters.

He was simply extrapolating from trends that were shown in the last 40 years or so as far as the up and downs went.

It was a rather small point that I made note of in class that he showed a trending line that he'd made from the markets and it showed there was still more dip left if it followed the trends from recent decades.

Check out COWI if you want to invest a couple $100 or $1000 and have a chance at a possible nice bounce.

It has been down low .0001 for a bit. Just released: CoroWare Reports Second Quarter 2015 Earnings

For the quarter ended June 30, 2015 ("the 2015 Period"), CoroWare reported revenues of $1,355,239, which increased 246.4% from $391,213 in Q2-2014 ("the 2014 Period"), and gross profit of $285,232, which increased 836.2% from $30,468 in the 2014 Period.

pretty good revenue and profit for a company that hasn't had great prior quarters. Biggest issue is the outstanding shares (in the billions).

It traded almost 364 million shares today alone.

Tesla going to take a nose dive today I'd bet with consumer reports deal. I sold off my shares, currently at a loss, assuming they are going to bottom out, then I'll re-buy.
