Default 8" sub replacement locally

In looking to replace my broken stock sub in the Lexus. It is an 8" sub. Would any of the local shops carry this?

As long as you aren't looking for a exact stock replacement, you bet.

Not sure what model you have but generally the only complaint people have is that Lexus's factory amp isn't all that powerful. I would look for a subwoofer with a high efficiency to work with such lower power. Also your stock subwoofer probably has 2 Ohm 4 Ohm or 8 Ohm stamped or printed on the back, I can't remember what they are. Be sure to get the same Ohm driver or you risk prematurely killing your factory amp.

What local shops carry 8" 2 ohm low wattage subs? I called Independence Audio and they don't stock anything.

been looking to do this with my car as well. but after reading on the forum it sounds like I should just not put a aftermarket sub in the stock spot. Which is what I was wanting to do.

I Found some "free Air" subs on crutchfield.

Think I'm gunna try out this sub here. It got good reviews for replacing factory subs

Twins! I'll have to convert mine to 1ohm but I found wiring diagrams from JL audio that show me how to do it
