Default Stock guesses

I spend a lot of time in the mornings watching Squawk and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my boy Cramer. So what better way to discuss stocks but to put our asses on the line like him and make some picks.

Stock: AMD
Price: 2.68-2.72
Prediction and Reason: 3-5% gain in one day. Sony announced after hours that they will be using the new "Jaguar" processors by AMD in the soon to be released PS4.

RESULT:
Total fail on the 24 hr front. Still a good buy because it's at a near all time low and has contracts to fulfill. I think there is a short term gain to be made but a longer term hold could show 200% in a year

I totally made the same purchase. With BOTH systems (XBOX and PS) supposedly running the Jaguar platform, I'm anticipating a decent bump. Just gotta hold onto it for a while and let the manufacturing begin. That's when the revenues will jump.

Lots of people were saying sprint was going to start going up a year ago. Look at it now, wish i would have done something when it was $2.30-2.60. A year later and its at $7+ and with the two compaines trying to buy it i think its going to go up to at least 8-9 over the next few months anyway. And then depending on who gets it and what they do with the company it could keep on going up over the next few years slowly.

I also know very little about anything stock related. I just wish i would have dumped some money in it a year ago. Could have tripled the investment.

I purchased Sprint at ~$2.20. Offloaded it after it doubled pretty quickly. Kicking myself for not holding onto it for longer.

I just wish i would have had my credit cards paid off last year. I would have dumped some money into it for sure. I still think Sprint would be a good buy, but i dont think it will double or triple again for years at its current price, if that even happens in the long term.

EDIT: I also agree that AMD is worth looking into, i do think the recovery of it will depend on how the new consoles perform and sell.

I usually don't dump a lot in. Maybe $1000 ish at a time. Because of this low amount, I'm less worried about risk.

What I generally do is try to find stocks that are performing well below their average, well known companies, and scour the rumor mill. Things like an anticipated product release or something like that. It's worked well for me thus far. I'm not getting rich by any means, but it's been fun and I've made a few bucks.

I'm holding it for a while. My hope is that once the systems start manufacturing this holiday season it'll stay strong or even rise further. Hoping to hang on to it at least a year to get beyond the short term capital gains taxes.

been watching the stock MINE.
It is super low sub penny stock .008.

Currently has powerbrands designing and creating products for the health and energy drink markets.

They created neuro, relax, 50 cents drink etc.
they have done work for Pepsi and other big brands.
Sold one of the last ones they made to Starbucks.

it is stupid cheap right now and a heck even $1000 buys you a ton of shares.
They have mentioned they would release PR and a product in the spring/summer

I have a pretty decent amount of shares in them.

I had shares Xide and made a decent profit before it tanked
along with AONE,ZERO,VLNCQ, and TXT.

I did lose about $100 bucks in TAGG

I own some shares of RGP @ 22.53 and it closed at over 27 today, this is in addition to receiving two quarterly dividends (~8% /yr). If I sold now I'd be up over 20%, but I see it going much higher and the dividends are too nice.

but before you buy, make sure you know this is an MLP and your taxes related to this will be a bit different.

I own more RGP at 25.xx, nothing much in total tho.

I've also made a few bucks on DGAZ, it swings 10% some days, so if you have a chunk of change to lose, you can make some quick money. I bought it at 9.32 when it dipped way low and it shot up to 14+, now it hovers in the low teens and is often up 10+% rather quickly. I've watched it do this a few times and cringe at the money I could be making, but I know as soon as I pull the trigger it's going to tank lol

MINE up to .0035 close today. Has been as high as .0038. That would be a very large increase over the low of .0007

I use TNA TZA. They are structured just like dgaz and tripled leveraged. If you use margin you can really see some swings....and burns.
