Good job, however its the "long term" that matters...... a year is a long time.
Gotta remember that over the course of 5 years, 70% of day-traders loose money.

Tons of big banks got the downgrade. Barclays, Credit Suisse, JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, HSBC Holdings, Deutsche Bank....not pretty.

In terms of the game, I could really need the dollar to weaken. In it for the long haul though.

Shorting means you will make money when the stock goes DOWN:

Short selling is the opposite of buy/sell. With buy/sell you want to buy low and sell high. With short selling you want to short high and buy when its low to cover your short.

With the buy/sell type transactions you actually own the shares you buy but with shorting it you are basically in effect just borrowing the shares. With shorting your banking on the fact that that stock is going to drop. Naturally if you are shorting and the stock goes up you lose money.

Well I mean I guess I should also disclose that I work in the financial industry so I am around these markets everyday so I knew what kinda gameplan I wanted going into this.

When it comes to play money I typically go balls to the wall agressive since I have nothing to lose.

See I am not in the financial industry so I took what some would call a few risks. Like JT though I feel I built a good long term portfolio.

look at the current stock price, check the trend of the stock, what's the current mean of the stock, target price and 52 week low/high. I bought a bunch of stuff at it's low point banking on increased trent once we get through the summer time low.

I would say about 90% of my trades arnt going through today. Missed out on a HUGE short sell because the trade for whatever reason didnt go through. Still up over $3,000 for today.

I have given up for today. I think my work comp doesnt like that website.
