We are like opposites on it.... I like the back, but that front is not good looking. It sits to high up. That nose looks like it should be hugging the ground, not pointing at the sky.... It looks like a Huracan that has been lifted and had its nose kicked in......

It’s no LM002, but the upcoming Lamborghini Urus is still pretty darn big. How big? Big enough to have a chuckle at when you see the testing video.


That’s a mass bigger than some of our apartments, except it’s a truck flying down the Nürburgring’s infamous twisty Nordschleife course. It looks like something that shouldn’t happen, but does happen anyway against all laws of nature and physics, usually to see if the drivetrain’s any good by maxing it out in a place with no speed limits. I love everything about that.













While there’s plenty of luxury SUVs being built with track use in mind, every one of us who’s actually been in one of those supertrucks on a track has said that it’s a bit of a disorienting experience to sit up that high when you’re flogging a vehicle on a road course like this. It’s the best kind of insanity to watch, though.

The Urus is yet another ultra-SUV built on the same extremely good Volkswagen Group huge-car platform as the Bentley Bentayga, Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne and Volkswagen Tourareg. But don’t call it a fancy Touareg just yet. It’s set to be Lambo’s first plug-in hybrid and its carbon fiber -heavy body has a bit more of an angular, sort-of-Lambo-like shape.

That being said, the current “make it look like our cars” strategy just makes us miss the crazy Lego brick known as the LM002. Someone please whip an LM002 around the Nordschleife next, please.

Watch Lamborghini Covertly Building The New Urus




Lamborghini is in the process of an enormous shift. It's doubled the size of its factory and is rolling out its first crossover – a model that's expected to double its sales and manufacturing output.

We have yet to see the finalized production version of the Urus, revealed in concept form more than half a decade ago. But we've been getting bits and pieces, and this is our latest.

This video shows ostensibly showcases Lamborghini's production methods and the expansion of its home base in Sant'Agata Bolognese. But if you watch closely enough, you'll see that it's not the Huracan or Aventador that the line workers are assembling.

No, this one has two doors on each side and the engine up front. This, in other words, is the Urus.

It's still just bits and pieces, with the finished bodywork still to be revealed. But it's coming... and coming soon. In fact the Raging Bull marque has already confirmed the vehicle's debut for December 4, which is now less than a month away.

Lamborghini Urus Jumps Over Sand Dunes In 'Sabbia' Mode





After years of development, Lamborghini has finally started to provide a closer glimpse into their second SUV - the Urus.

Teased ahead of its December 4 presentation, the company's third vehicle, after the Huracan and Aventador, features the usual Strada, Sport, and Corsa driving modes, in addition to three new ones: Terra (land), Neve (snow), and Sabbia (sand).

And while the first two will technically provide it with additional grip on challenging terrains, the latter is clearly aimed at having fun on the sand dunes, so those wealthy Middle Eastern buyers will definitely grow fond of it, during the occasional dune bashing, and not only.

Inspired by the Urus Concept shown more than 5 years ago, the spiritual successor of the LM002 will take some important steps aside from the Huracan and Aventador. It will not only be suitable for everyday drive, but it will also use a 4.0-liter twin-turbo'd V8 engine, unlike the naturally aspirated V10 and V12 used by its supercar siblings.

The unit is expected to develop approximately 650hp, which in theory will make it faster than the W12-powered Bentley Bentayga.

Lamborghini teases Urus playing in the snow in Neve mode



We are less than a month away from Lamborghini unveiling the production Urus SUV, and that means the teasers are being released at a rapid rate. The latest highlights the Urus' Neve mode.
Neve is Italian for snow, meaning snow mode for the electronic stability control and other vehicle systems. Last week, we saw a teaser video showing the Urus taking on the sand using Sabbia mode (sand mode). The other new mode debuting on the Urus is Terra (earth). Of course, the typical Lamborghini Strada (street), Sport, and Corsa (track) modes will be on-board as well.
In case you've forgotten, the Urus will likely be powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 producing approximately 650 horsepower. All-wheel drive should be standard, and four-wheel steering will be on the menu to enhance handling.
Why four-wheel steering? Because this is a Lamborghini SUV and it will be ridiculous in all the ways, from its design inside and out to its staggering top speed of 187 mph. The Italian automaker is counting on breaking the current SUV Nürburgring lap-time record set by Alfa Romeo with the Stelvio Quadrifoglio.

First Look Inside The 2019 Lamborghini Urus Reveals High-Tech Cockpit





We’re about three weeks away from the official debut of the new Lamborghini Urus but images of its interior have already surfaced online.

Courtesy of Instagram user altdynamic, the images reveal the dashboard of the new Lambo SUV which features the latest display technologies of the VW Group mixed with the Italian company’s familiar hexagone-based theme.

Just like the latest generation of the Audi A8 and A7, the new Lamborghini Urus makes use of two digital displays, one for infotainment purposes and one for the HVAC controls while the driver’s gauges are digital as expected.

The air-vents follow a similar design with the Huracan while the center console appears to have the same flip-switch red cover for the engine start/stop button. A pair of dramatically styled knobs is positioned on both sides of the engine start button, controlling the different driving modes of the car as shown in the recently released teaser videos. A new touchpad controller is also present.

A twin-turbo V8 with around 650hp will enable the new Lamborghini Urus to make some bold claims in terms of on-road performance but the Italian company also promises to offer true off-road capabilities as a nod to the classic LM002.

Lamborghini will reveal the new Urus on December 4 at its HQ in Sant’Agata, with the first deliveries expected to start in mid-2018. Stay tuned for more in the next days.
