Default Motorcycle Class

My wife really wants to get into this and I'd like for us to take some kind of instruction school first to determine her level of seriousness. Neither of us have much experience. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

MSF is the best out there right now for begginer riders.

Link

They have a "Find Class Near You" option.

These look to be the closest ones to Lees Summit

I took the JCCC MSF course so I could get my KS license after. I really liked the course and the provided bikes were nice since I wasn't sure I wanted to buy one and get serious about it or not.

Mom still worried about you riding?

I bought my CBR (also first street bike) on my mom's birthday three years ago. Lol.

My grandma (dad's mom) wouldn't let him get a bike till his 50th bday, so somehow that's a rule in our family now, lol

I'm sure if she spent a few minutes on 1320 video's youtube channel she'd form some opinons on the safety of the car as well, lol... she's refused to ride in it since I did the first build... my dad made it 60-80mph before he yelled to stop

Classes fill up quick. You may also check the harley dealers, even if you aren't buying a harley. The local one here hosts a class almost every weekend. I know some do womens only classes too.

It cost me 220 dollars.

Also, everyone, keep in mind, if you live in MO, you have to take the class IN MISSOURI. Same for KS. You can't take the JCCC course if you have a MO drivers license (and also get your M endorsement from it).

Also, as has already been said, MSF course kicks ass. Well worth the time and money.

MSF is a great course. You walk out of there not only a better rider but a better driver. Only thing is they focus on basics as expected and low speed maneuvering. You really got to practice 20mph+ speeds on your own afterwards to get comfortable with real life riding on the streets, especially turning.
