My friend Jen had her DSLR with her, so I stole it and snapped a few pics. Here's my favorite from the set, not bad IMO from a full digital SLR and 30 rows back.

I was at the big Freakers Ball riot and it was a badass show till he pussed out and hid in his trailer.

And that shot is decent but super noisy.

I shoot at concerts often and it's so fucking difficult to get the right settings with all the visual and lighting effects going on

Not really, just have to know photography.

But for anyone who isn't studied, then ya, it's very difficult. Same way with like fireworks or moon shots. Light can be confusing when our eyes "lie" to us.

If ya wanna get together I can help teach ya some stuff with it.

I don't know photography. I have photo passes lined up for both Mayhem Fest and Lamb of God. I'd love some lessons.....

slightly off topic:

i was working KCIR that night. He was begging to perform. Said something to the effect of "if they get on stage, then they get on stage" in reference to the crowd knocking the barricade down twice. However, the hired security people refused to let him back out.

I shot the opener at his show. He did not credential any photogs for his set, so that sucked. Every night on that tour was a crapshoot for photo creds. Taylor (the opener) looked pretty hot though...

It was a digital SLR and the zoom was pretty much maxed out, so there will be noise in it. Kinda a point and shoot situation. RMD, I'm always up for learning so if you want to do some photog, please let me know.
