Default FS: 1988 Honda CRX Si

Asking/Offering Price: $4,000
Email Address/Phone Number (optional): (913) 710-2514
Location: Olathe
Name: kcjohnnyboy
Item Description: 1988 Honda CRX Si
Pics: See below.

Year: 1988
Make: Honda
Model: Si
Mileage: 185,XXX
Title Status: Clean
Transmission: Manual, 5-speed
Drivetrain: FWD

This is a great, running 1988 Honda CRX Si, original yellow minus the body panels replaced on the front end. The front end damage was from a previous owner hitting a deer, which was minor, so I replaced most of the front end with better condition parts. I also changed the front bumper and front corner lights to the 90-91 CRX version. There is a long list of things that were done to try to rebuild and replace a lot of the parts on the car to get it to run new again. The motor was replaced from the previous owner, but was recently rebuilt less than 5,000 miles ago, along with timing belt and water pump and other parts to refresh the motor. Please contact me and if interested, I will send you the long list of details on what all was done to the car. The car was taken apart to clean the interior and now is all clean and ready to go for the new owner. The car runs great with no issues and gets 35+ miles per gallon. Asking $4,000.

Repairs and upgrades below:
D15 motor rebuild, along with timing belt replacement, water pump replacement, spark plugs and wires, new valve cover gaskets replaced
Mishimoto complete silicone coolant hose kit
Yonaka catback exhaust
DC sports exhaust header
Ebay intake & K&N air filter
Ebay adjustable test pipe
New O2 sensor replaced
88-91 Civic EX brake master cylinder
Brake master cylinder brace
HID plug and play headlight kit
Blox short shifter with ES polyurethane shifter stabilizer bushings
Russell stainless steel brake line kit
New front steering rack
New fuel pump
New rear trailing arm bushings
New rear wheel bearings

90-91 CRX front bumper conversion with new bumper support
90-91 CRX rear tail lights with DIY thicker tail light gaskets
94-01 Acura Integra CD player, with Pioneer speakers all the way around

I see you already have a crv but I’ll trade you mine for your crv, I know you want a lot.... here around jeff city you can pick up a crx for half that with no rust, I’m not thrashing, it’s a legit car, just figured I would throw it out there

I meant the crx bro, that’s my bad, smart phones are dumb lol and I know you spent an ungodly amount rebuilding your motor but you can buy a d16a and have it shipped to your house for less that $700, and I know it’s a fresh motor but realistically any car you sell should run and drive, so really, if trade my crv for your crx and the reason I say that is because if you took the block and head to the machine shop then you spent half of what a jdm motor would cost. I’m being respectful and realistic

This is for an actual 91, so even with your upgrades it would be worth $2k and that’s someone being generous. No rust and fresh paint here in jeff city goes for $1800 and that’s with a b18 or b20 swap with the same upgrades, if I had pics from my old phone I sold a boosted d16z6 crx so that was a 91 with integra type r rims and all the same stuff as you for 4K, I know it sucks but sometimes you have to run it til it’s dead or go a lot cheaper, there’s not a lot of demand for these cars anymore, there’s all the newer styles out. Not thrashing but be realistic, that’s why this forum always gets out of hand. Just let me know on the crv for the crx

Thanks for that. It is obo that I'm letting it go for. I just posted it so I'm still waiting to see what other offers I get. I just have no use for a trade because I'm trying to get rid a car to free up space. I just have no more time for it anymore, when my original plan was to restore the car.
