Well, it's starting to make the rounds on the ol Book, so it will be Trump's fault in a matter of no time. Just yesterday I was reading an article on yahoo where it referenced the "extreme right" no less than 3 times in reference to the fires. haha.

It's all caused by ranchers who have been burning to clear land, pretty sad, however I know that I eat a burger or steak time to time so being really passionate about it would be rather hypocritical.

Also TIL the amazon produces upto 20% of oxygen on earth supposedly,

their President is a fairly extreme conservative who openly admires Trump and used his huckster playbook during their elections... the references aren't necessarily out of place. he literally has a nickname in Brazil of "Captain Chainsaw" for his extreme support of the deforestation...

just depends on what he's actually willing to do about it but mostly what I've heard is that instead of blaming the ranchers he supports that are setting the fires, he started trying to blame NGOs without any evidence whatsoever.

Our progress in degeneracy appears to me to be pretty rapid. As a nation, we began by declaring that ”all men are created equal.” We now practically read it “all men are created equal, except negroes” When the Know-Nothings get control, it will read “all men are created equal, except negroes, and foreigners, and Catholics.” When it comes to this I should prefer emigrating to some country where they make no pretence of loving liberty -- to Russia, for instance, where despotism can be taken pure, and without the base alloy of hypocricy. - Lincoln

I get it, and was aware of his leanings. Being yahoo, there was clearly a slant to bring a connection to the Donald.
