That was my first thought as well, wanted to avoid reloading. He may have also assumed (or found out through practice?) that after firing 500+ rounds through one firearm it would be holy shit hot and was concerned with malfunction.

As you said, guy clearly had problems. Hard to understand the thought process of someone like this.

While my conclusion might not be correct it's certainly reasonable within the realm of the facts. More reasonable than any other motive at this time. So speculation is perfectly fine and normal. Especially based that I'm not in control of discovering new information. I just have to wait for it. So I choose to form a fluid hypothesis.

Nice attack on me there though. It's shit like that, that is a problem in this country. I never attacked anyone I simply presented an opinion as to cause and was very careful to state that it was an opinion and I backed it up with the facts I used to arrive at it.

Then you come in and attack me for my opinion.

If I remember correctly, I'm threads past, you were typically one of the people condemning others for jumping to conclusions without facts.

I'm guessing he was an operative of the DNC.

I'll bet his family was somehow threatened.

I didn't sing see where I'm passing my opinion off as conclusive? I've stated it's fluid and will likely change. I love a good mystery. God forbid I share what I'm thinking as it unfolds. I've been completely respectful in my discussion.

Apparently there's a leaked list of the gun inventory. Experts are saying $40k to $50 in weapons not including optics.

Family is stating no political or religious affiliations, that he just wasn't interested in the topics. Also that he listened to country music, himself.

Yeah the most recent interview was odd but it's possible it's just stress and grief. You find out your brother is horrible, dead and 1000 media people move into your hood all on the same day. Probably a mind fuck.

Obviously I can't put myself in that situation, or speak from experience. But I'd agree with others that have suggested his behavior has been really odd. He seemed rather glib in the interview yesterday. Granted if he knows nothing like he claims, the gamut of emotions woukd be crazy.

His dad was on the 10 most wanted list and was described as dangerous and a psycho. Also His neighbors said he wasn't very friendly. They said he would be disrespectful to his girlfriend in front of whoever was around. They also say he didn't have many friends and loved to gamble by himself. All this may be absolutely nothing, but it's starting to paint a different picture than what his family is saying imo.

The pictures from his hotel seem off to me, as well. Like where the rifle is with the bipod, over his left leg. Just odd.

Agreed. That's kind of odd. It looks like it was set over his leg after he fell. Maybe it was leaning on something and when he fell, it fell, and just happen to land like that.

i find it odd there is so much conflict in information between family and neighbors.

of course family never wants to admit one of their own is horrible, but still, the contrast is.. stark.

next, what was his criminal record like prior to this? different sources say different things.

lets add in the fact he lived 64 years, very strange for a 64 year old man to carry out such a violent attack.

there has been a multitude of people who have reviewed the footage and all have different opinions and speculation, from there was two shooters shooting from different vantage points to a multitude of other things.

also his reload times suck for a man who supposedly was familiar with his rifles, i mean, why spend that much money on gear, and not spend money on range time or practice? or even a modular plate carrier with mag pockets and empties pack?

next, security for the event SUCKED, there should have been better security, especially considering all the ISIS crap lately. i'm talking coordination with local PD and event security, rooftop spotters, snipers or counter snipers ect..

the lack of security and coordination here is also odd, as it's not like they couldn't afford it.

so i dunno, maybe the guy just wacked out one day, maybe he had a political message, maybe he wanted his 30 days of fame in the media..

all i'm saying is it just seems so damn awkward for a 64 year old to pull this crap off.

Do we know for a fact those are the actual hotel pics? How do those things get leaked? That is crazy.
There is a lot of weirdness about the whole thing. I am sure a few people use this to take advantage of the fame and make a bogus statement...and get the spotlight on them - like the girl that claims someone was escorted out after they claimed that she was screaming that everyone was going to die...45 minutes before the event. Yes, she could have been a lunatic, or the girl just wanted attention by the media.

And then there are the reports of people claiming they saw people shooting at different hotels, and some are actual employees...so to make something like that, without fear of losing their job, and, there is obviously surveillance, but, if so, we will probably never get to watch those videos.

Then the claims from the Australian guy that supposedly was staying next door to the shooter, and claimed he opened the door and saw police shoot a security guard...it is all just so weird.

Christ. You guys need to sit back and let the dust settle and let the real facts come in. Stop getting your news and hearsay from social media and fake news websites.

And yes, when people die, they can fall in really weird positions. I have first hand experience in that.

The rifle at that angle over his leg is suspect.

Of course, I'm sure you've worked numerous homicides. Or one of your 3 brown friends work for the FBI/CIA/ATF.
