Are these any good? The reviews I have read seem to say it is a really high end unit. Anyone have any experience with these?

Yes they are great units. Not much in the laser detecting dept. but unless you have a good laser jammer. if not once your hit with laser and your speeding your busted. But for detecting radar their great detectors.

How much can you get the 995 for. If it's for a good price. go ahead and get it. If it's over 250.00 then I would just spend the extra and get a v1. I have the 995 and I had the v1 but sold it when I got rid of my gto. The 995 hangs right there with it on the highway, but the arrows were really nice to have on the v1. But when it comes to laser detection the v1 is the best on the market. I even picked up laser scatter off of other cars before I got hit with laser and my bel jammers kicked in.
