It held 250-275 pretty constant, I just added new wood chunks and coals about every 2 hours to keep the heat up. It's not sealed 100% but I think that helped keeping the heat even. A little bit on black RTV would help this one if you wanted to spend the time to seal around the temp gauge, handle, and smoke stack.
