I looked into that option and the used Z06 options. The grandsports just came out in '10 and were in the mid to upper 40's depending on options... same for the '08+ Z06's (only looking at that year range for the upgraded steering/gearbox/interior). I'd be looking for a trade-in deal to save on sales tax since I'm in KS, and I'm pretty sure my car would have a ~$32k trade in value. So I'd be looking to make up a $10k-14k difference. If I sold private party, I might get $35k, but then I still have to make up the difference and pay the sales tax. So lets just say either way it would cost me $10k to make the switch.

The full OEM fender kit ended up costing me a net of ~$800 and paint was $730. The Z06 bumper I have ordered was $505 and I assume paint will be ~$500ish. So I'm into the GS/Z look for about $2,500.

There's also a perk to having a 2009 LS3 6MT that I'll post about a month or so from now.
