Specialist Jason Daniel Lee Mann

Specialist Jason Daniel Lee Mann, 38, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away peacefully in his home on April 23rd, 2020.

Jason was born to Patti Elliot and Richard Mann on October 11th, 1981 in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Oak Park High School in 2000. He studied Information Technology through Kansas University and Maple Woods Community College. He married Kimberly Peoples in August 2009, and they lived together in Olathe, Kansas.

Specialist Mann enlisted into the U.S. Army in June 2000 and served his country as a 31L Cable System Installer/Maintainer at Fort Riley, Kansas. In 2003 Specialist Mann completed a 14-month tour in South Korea at Camp Colbern. In June 2008 Specialist Mann was given an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army.

In March 2008 Specialist Mann completed a 14-month contract tour in Fallujah, Iraq, and parts of Kuwait. This was through the U.S. Marine Corps to provide support on the BATs program while assisting in U.S. military efforts overseas.

In October 2015 Specialist Mann re-enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve as a 25B Information Technology Specialist at Richards Gebaur in Kansas City, Missouri.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly; his parents, Patti and Tim Elliot, Sharon and Richard Mann; his siblings, Jennifer Johnson, Colt Mann, Marlana Elliot, and Marissa Elliot.

A memorial service took place at a later date due to the covid virus restrictions.
