I had tires, but I didn't know if I'd have the budget to replace them. Come springtime, a move to Phoenix was in the works, so I prepped my car for the first TC at HPT, and got rained out, and that was that. Drove the car to Phoenix and found out my chosen homestead is 15 minutes from Firebird Raceway, and I happened to meet the regional NASA director at a bbq right around the corner from my house. There is no active NASA region in KC but think of them as SCCA without the stifling inertia.

They ran an event in August, which is straight-up the hottest fucking time of year in Phoenix. Full on races, time trials, time attacks, and 4 groups of HPDE. They get around the heat by opening the gates at 4:30 am, with first car on track at 5:30. The event was done by 11 am, and by then, the temp was well over 100 and climbing, with noticeable humidity.

I might have thousands of track miles under my belt, but not with this club, and not at this course, so I signed up for HPDE 3 and asked for a check ride to qualify for HPDE 4, the most advanced group. Group 4 is totally open passing, on the straights, in the corners, wherever, preferably with a point-by. That was an eye-opener :rofl:

The West track is short, tight, bumpy, dusty, and hard to read. By the 3rd session I felt like I was knocking the rust off and getting comfortable but fuck me, the Sumitomo HTRZ-III tires I'm running SUCK. I have never in my life driven tires with so little braking traction, as you'll see near the end where I overcooked a braking zone.

All in all, it was good to be back on track, but I can't wait for cooler weather and better track time.

Turbonetics deltamark II wastegate w/9lbs

3" downpipe bolts up to exhaust and has 3 o2 sensor bungs 2 up top and 1 at the end on the bottom
Blitz blow off valve
All aluminum piping ranging in size with all clamps and couplers
Gsr oilpan with fitting welded on w/braided oil return line
Oil feed line with T fitting to go on the block
Will throw in fitting and golden eagle vacume block wiith paraflex vacume lines if the price is right
